According to SonyRumors, Sony has just registered a new camera code WW271448 in China. Based on registered info, Sony WW271448 will be a high-end E-mount mirrorless camera like Sony a7 IV or a7S III. This camera code is registered by Sony Japan, not previous code WW119533 that registered by Sony China. And WW271448 will have 5GHz Wi-Fi built-in. Seems this will be a good camera to compete with upcoming Canon EOS R5.
Recently, Bloomberg said that Sony has nixed some features it had planned for an unnamed future mirrorless camera model (could be Sony a7IV or a7SIII) due to the scarcity of certain hardware, namely DRAM and NAND flash memory. Sony currently has one new camera code “WW942051” registered, this camera code has same 5.8GHz Wi-Fi as Sony a7R IV, so this camera could be Sony a7S III or a9 II.
